FCL explained
Full Container Load
The container holds only your cargo: lower unit cost, less handling damage, simpler CBP entry.
Full definition
Standard equipment: 20ft (~28 CBM), 40ft (~58 CBM) and 40ft high cube (~68 CBM). Above roughly 15 CBM, FCL normally beats LCL on landed cost. The container is sealed at the factory and not opened until your facility, which removes deconsolidation damage and mixed-cargo contamination, and a single-entry container clears faster.
Worked examples
40HQ Shenzhen → Los Angeles ocean freight roughly USD 2,000–4,500 depending on season
